You won't be able to place an order until you purchase a membership or a Shipt pass, but you can browse and try out the app's features to your heart's content!
Where does Shipt deliver?

How do I order groceries?
You can order groceries at shipt.com/shop or in the Shipt app. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play. After you've signed up for a membership, you'll be able to place items in your cart, choose a payment option, pick a delivery time, and place your order.
You can add notes, special requests and substitution instructions for your shopper, as well as delivery instructions at checkout. Have a gate code or want to get a warning text when your shopper arrives? Just type it into the Delivery Notes field at checkout to let them know!
Who will be shopping and delivering my order?
Shipt hires reliable independent contractors to shop for and deliver your groceries. When you place an order, a Shipt Shopper will claim it and do the shopping for you within an hour of your delivery window. They will handpick the items in your order, paying special attention to your preferences. You can even connect with your shopper while they're in the aisle to ask them questions or add forgotten items to your shopping list. When they are ready to check out at the store, a Kowalski's employee with carefully package your order, and the Shipt Shopper will deliver it straight to your door. How much does delivery cost?
With an annual Shipt Everyday membership, you will receive free delivery for orders over $35. For these memberships, orders of less than $35 will have a flat $7 delivery fee added to your total to help with the picking, packaging and processing of your order.
If your order includes alcohol, a $7 delivery fee may be applied.
If you do not have a membership but use Shipt Passes instead, the Shipt Pass covers your delivery fee, no matter your order total.
Do I need to be home to receive a delivery?
No, you can opt to have your order dropped off at your door. You'll be able to choose between drop-off and in-person delivery on the checkout page. Regardless of your delivery preference, you'll get an email and text when it has arrived.
How much do I tip?
Tips are not required but are greatly appreciated. If you choose to tip, you can add a tip when placing your order by choosing a preselected or custom amount. You may also tip in cash or within the app after you receive your delivery. No matter which method you choose, 100% of your tip will go to the shopper.
Will Shipt deliver alcohol?
Shipt will deliver alcohol from all six of Kowalski's Wine & Spirits shops. Our Wine & Spirits shops are located at our Excelsior, Grand Avenue, Hennepin Avenue, Oak Park Heights, Shoreview and Woodbury markets. If you live within range of these stores, you can order wine, beer and spirits from us through Shipt – unless you live in a zip code with a municipal liquor store. If you live in a zip code with a municipal liquor store, you can only buy liquor from those municipal liquor stores.
Please note that you must be 21 or older with a valid ID to place or receive an alcohol order. Due to state and federal regulations, Shipt is legally required to confirm that the recipient of an alcohol order is at least 21 years old by reviewing a valid ID at delivery, regardless of the recipient's apparent age. The recipient must also sign for the delivery on the shopper's phone.
How are prices determined?
To help cover the costs of picking, packing and processing, Shipt prices will vary slightly from in-store prices. Members can expect to pay about $5 more using Shipt than they would on a $35 order purchased in the store themselves.
For example, a loaf of bread may cost $2.29 in the store and $2.59 to have it delivered to your door using Shipt. Our hope is that the extra $0.30 is worth it for the convenience and time saved!
Does Shipt honor in-store sales?
Though Shipt's weekly deals don't always reflect Kowalski's in-store sales, Shipt offers special in-app pricing to help members save money (while also saving time).
What forms of payment are accepted?
Shipt accepts all major U.S. credit and debit cards, including reloadable gift cards. Cards must have a three-digit CVC code (usually located on the back of the card) to be processed.
At this time, Shipt cannot accept store gift cards, including Kowalski's Gift Cards. Due to current USDA restrictions, Shipt is unable to accept EBT cards. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Are coupons accepted?
At this time, Shipt can not accept coupons, including coupons for Kowalski's Keep In Touch program. We apologize for the inconvenience.
